Duncan of Jordanstone graduate in illustration and printmaking 2000.
After 10 years of painting the Scottish landscape, my recent work becomes more involved with cloudcover and its effect on light and colour through both its translucent and opaque properties. Clouds have the ability to refract and reflect, creating an ever changing perception of light which inspires my use of colour.

Well done! Its Gorgeous!!
Great palette knife work.
Beeeeeeeautiful,very original and creative,I love-it.
outstanding
Nice painting. En plein air, from photograph, or just from imagination?
Do some plein air sketches in acrylics. But a keen photographer too, I used a mix of photo reference (for exact lay of the land), memory/ emotional response to visit and abstract colour play/ colour theory. All my oils are done start to finish in the studio… don’t take the oils out in the unpredictable Scottish weather!
