Oh I love, love helicopter flights. I’m totally jealous. The colours over the downs are beautiful. Such a great shot. I’ll bet the boys loved the ride!

  • Oh it’s so much fun! We’re very spoilt :) The boys had so much fun, not to mention me!

Doesn’t the red soil look great? It took quite a bit to bring to the colours up, but I’m happy :)

very cool, you’re at a perfect right angle to the ground!

  • Yes, we were! Banking around to the left put me in the perfect position for a great shot. Lucky I was strapped in huh?

I am always at once happy and sad when I see such photos, happy to rediscover the magnificence of earth, and sad to think how badly we spoil our little planet… beautiful shot !

  • I know what you mean. In this shot you’ll see lots of evidence of scarring from tree felling, ploughing & fencing – rural life.

Luckily here in Australia we still do have endless amounts of land that is almost untouched by man, you just have to travel quite a distance to see it.
However the mining industry has it’s eye on much of that pristine land sadly.

Oh Rosemary this is just amazing!!! At first glance of the thumbnail I thought it was a macro shot of Lichen..or moss..so cool

  • hehehe, yes I had that same thought! Not macro though, quite the opposite I guess – so glad you like it Kim :)
