My Mother has always hated Crows. She thinks they are harbingers of death. Not me. I’ve always loved them. I couldn’t really tell you why….. they’re just one of those birds that is always there, watching. I like that.

I’m a photographic artist who loves to stray into the realms of paint and illustration.
T-shirt design is awesome fun, pure & simple, so you’ll find I do a bit of that too.

Wow..I love how the purples and pinks play on each other here! And that sky
seems to just open up infinitely. This looks like a combination of an HDR &
an illustration. So very cool. :) Don’t let your husband see this one. (Texture..heheh..)
Thanks Birgitta, glad you like it. Oh, you have no idea how I tried to add texture…..it’s my first instinct. But ultimately texture just made the image too busy, so I accepted that this one just wasn’t meant to have it. or perhaps I just haven’t found the right texture for it yet…..

I am a fan of crows, too. I love their pretty blue-white eyes. I’ve even known of one, that was free but tame. He would hand feed AND talked! :)
A talking crow, he would be lovely to know. I love that they’re so intelligent….. you can be sure that they’re not just watching you, they’re doing with a purpose.

Great image Rosemary. You’ve done a wonderful job of fitting i the sky. So seamless. Fabulous Aussie country scene.
Thanks Lorraine. Glad you like it.
It’s a pity that most of the time I’m out shooting is on beautiful clear blue days….. not very photogenic skies. And I do have quite a collection of my own sky shots, but of course none of them were good enough!

hey Rosemary saw this image in my monitor feed & new it was yours !!! Love the mood created with the add of the dramatic clouds & the way the crow is perched on the old gate casting back toward the crow on the rustic shed roof – like they’re inviting you in !!! so pleased to see you back on RB xx :)
Thanks so much Deb!! It’s so nice to be back – I hate to be away for to long.
Glad you like my crows, & sweet that you recognise my work by the thumbnail. Wonderful to hear from you xx

Thanks Adrian. I think you’re most likely not alone with that opinion :))
