loving your images Rosemary – this ones SO intriguing – along with the title too!!! love the low horizon line – comp – tones & processing – nice one :)

  • Thanks so much Deb! While I was working on this I was very aware of the evidence of Human existence spread out across the globe…. there’s not many places left untouched by us….hence the title :))

This is totally intriguing. It reminds me of the quote Descartes “Cogito, ergo sum” which means “I think, therefore I am” It reminds me that we are here – for better or worse. I think it is so special that you have represented this with objects – not people. Original and thought provoking. I love it. Congratulations too on the feature.
    xx

  • I’m really pleased you like this one Anna. To be honest it was never going to be a statement piece. I just began with a very different image to what you see now, & as I worked on it, I began contemplating our impact on the earth. Not in the Global warming way that’s so popular right now, but rather in the sense that unlike other animals whose impact is organic, being re-absorbed into the earth, we, with our tools & our industry, leave a very permanent imprint on the earth, which will be seen & recognised for millennia to come.
I’m not sure if that’s what others will see here, but it’s certainly what was going on in my head at the time :))

Now what do you mean with this title? That it all repeats again and again or that it is infinite…? I’d say infinite :) Love your simple yet complex in meaning composition! So well done and congratulation for your featured!

  • Ah, it’s making you think! I like your interpretation, I think that’s the the best thing about conceptual art. Glad you like it Gwenolye :))
