Looks like a long pause LOL. Love the idea and the PP Rosemary! Is it a naughty vicar pausing part way through the good book to wrestle with a chink in his faith!

  • Rosemary Scott replied

Ooh you’re a naughty thing! It could be a vicar….. the glasses look a little vicar-ish…..
I’m not sure what’s going on in that book, but it’s enough to drive him to a stiff drink!

Perhaps its a racey novel read before evensong and the booze is to steady his nerve….or cancel under-cassock activity!

  • Rosemary Scott replied

Ahhh…. that must be a very saucy novel indeed….he needs to put it away lest he commit unspeakable sins before the night is done!!

Very artistic image Rosemary, I absolutely love how it turned out!! It looks like it was worth the time and effort it took. Did you use the same textured background for the second image of the apples?

  • Rosemary Scott replied

Lauri, Thankyou so much….. yes, I used the same texture for the wall, & then added more layers of different textures over it.
Thanks for such an encouraging comment :))

It can be frustrating, sometimes letting it go for a bit and revisiting really pays off. It has certainly paid off here, what a great treatment and really good composition, the tones are lovely :))

  • Rosemary Scott replied

Thanks so much Trish. I had actually put it away thinking I’d have to re-shoot it again, re-thinking my composition, lighting…. everything. It was just a stray thought of “maybe just one more try before I re-shoot” that made me look at it again….. I’m pleased I did.

  • Isa Rodriguez

  • Rosemary Scott replied

Thanks so much Isa…. I know we’ve all been in this same situation…. I’m talking about the artist’s block, not the drinking :))
