Ocimum basilicum
Italian Basil…. one of my favourite herbs. We grow it right by our back door so it’s right there when I need it…..
And the smell when you brush past it going in the door….... heaven!

Love the way youve captured the basil at the tip of the fingers – reminds me of releasing the aroma – LOVE basil in a Napoli sauce (dans signature dish !! ) love the treatment – comp & color – instant fav !! WONDERFUL Rosemary :)
Rosemary Scott replied
Isn’t the aroma sensational?.... because we have this right by our back door the boys are always pulling leaves off….. it’s one of my favourite smells!..... Ooooh…. would love to try Dans Napoli…. with a yummy red of course!!

Gorgeous closeup, Rosemary. I love the textures, how subtly they add to the nostalgic feel without overpowering the details. Wonderful colors. I have a little basil plant that is currently being overpowered by the tomato I planted next to it!
Rosemary Scott replied
Thanks for such lovely comments Colleen…. I was getting a little concerned that I might have been a bit heavy on the texture with this one, so it’s great to hear such positive feedback….. I really appreciate it :))

such a beautiful, vulnerable and intimate image. new basil and nearly new little hand. absolutely gorgeous!
Rosemary Scott replied
It’s so nice of you to notice that Judith….. my boys love the basil & touch it alot…. we planted it so they could learn how things grow, & they love the smell….
