Over the years, I have noticed a few consistent aspects for me to creatively grow. One is to be present in the moment – which is no small task. And the other is a willingness to look at things that no one else has bothered to really see. To do this sounds quite simple, just stop. But the challenge is to focus on the things that are normally taken for granted. Because to find what is creative, one must pierce through the mundane.
That’s what I strive to do before I ever raise the camera to my eye.
