In our corner of South Dakota, we had exceptional drought causing most rivers and streams to become but a ghost of itself. That affected the Falls on the Big Sioux River in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA. I was able to walk within ten feet of them which is not normal. This is a close-up of the frozen falls, as our temperatures have dropped to the single digits on the Fahrenheit Scale. From late November to the end of January the falls are lit at night with differing colors as part of our Winter Wonderland of Lights in the city.
