The Middle Section of the Sioux Falls by

As the Big Sioux River travels through the City of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, it fall over a series of pink quartzite rock to form the Sioux Falls. It has three distinct sections: the Upper Falls, The Middle Section and the Lower (or main) Falls. At 4:45 AM well before dawn, I thought I would experiment with different exposures, different f-stops and different media to try to capture something different in one of my favorite photographic subjects.

Olympus E-510 mounted on tripod, Zuiko 14 – 42 mm Lens, ISO 100, Focal Length 42.0 mm, f/5.6, 6.0 second exposure.

Lives in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and operates Dry Fly Enterprises. It is small business engaged in photography, fly rod building, dry/wet fly tying and mystery/thriller/action novelist.
