On our way from Sioux Falls, South Dakota to the Fort Randall Dam near Pickstown, South Dakota, my future son-in-law and I passed through the small town of Delmont, South Dakota. The major businesses are the local bank, the local Co-Op Elevator, a lumber company, a steak house and the Blue Bird Locker. The Blue bird is famous for its meat sticks, fresh meats, jerky and sausages. Next to the Locker we found this house that seem better suited for another country, let alone another State in the USA. It is a farm town, a way station in a sea of agriculture.
Delmont is a city in Douglas County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 234 at the 2010 census.
