PEACE

Upon the grasses prickling crests I bask
On sylvan breeze fresh and playful
Beneath a fire in heaven
Shown through perigean blue
To warm glistening eyes
Wide and awful
And there a myth found me
Peace
Peace…
And it stayed but for a moment
Purloining all the moments that preceded
And as it left, I could not recall
The purpose in this…
My leisure

perhaps a moment is all we are allotted? I hope this is not so.

    beautiful writing, Scott.

This fore some reason reminded me of a soft blue cerulean sea….the waves rolling in and out. Love the peaceful tone in this poem. I’m really enjoying your writing Scott. :)
