life-like botanicals for everyday living
ink and pencil on watercolor paper.
“sit here, be quiet, and don’t move!” she commanded
the boy sat
he sat until his rump went numb
but he was not quiet
he was not still
it was here that he discovered his greatest power
noone could hold him down
as long as he could think
he was free…

i had to come back to this one…
perfect scott… we all have had or still have that chair, i think…
i am still sitting in it…
p.s. my previous comment ”...” translates i have no words… perfect…
scott allison replied
it’s true we all do.
every time i would look at that chair after i drew it, it stirred something that made me feel like i would be forced to sit in it… in a corner… and that sound the feet make when you slide it across the lynoleum tiles… i rather liked the corner. it was like meditation.
