Uncovered

The morning sunrise reveals a large rock on the beach, uncovered by the tides.

The rugged coastal range of mountains is silhouetted in the background. Mount Humbug is the large mountain towering along the seashore on the right.

This is beautiful,I love the colors!

  • Randall Scholten replied

Thanks Steve. The black matting/frame seems to bring it to life, aye? I am always amazed at how much sand can be moved by the tides in such a short time. The power of waves and water!

The colors vibrate on my screen here…awesome shot!

  • Randall Scholten replied

Thanks Vanessa! Sometimes the raw power of the waves make the ground vibrate, so I imagine it can make a screen vibrate too :-)

Very beautiful…I love the delicate colours against the silhouette of the mountains and rock.

  • Randall Scholten replied

Thank you for the compliment! The color seems to be somewhat unique for a sunrise, doesn’t it?

Beautiful!!!!!!! Love the color and the rock silhouettes!

  • Randall Scholten replied

Thanks! The coastal mountains rise up from the shoreline so rapidly that they often make good sunrise silhouttes. And the rock came out nice because of the water around it reflecting the light. It was mostly luck that it turned out well.

Wow, such beauty and simplicity. The orange and black is so powerful in this shot Randy – what a great eye for the perfect composition. This image reminds me of those beautiful inspirational posters… Cheers, S.
