Aiming Eyes

This is a photo of an ice sculpture titled “Aiming Eyes”. The sculpture was one of numerous entries in The World Ice Art Championship in Fairbanks, Alaska in early 2007. This photo is my favorite of the many I took there. Several of my ice sculpture photos were used in a magazine article featuring the Ice Art Championships (“Break the Ice”, BADGES, February 2008, Hong Kong).

If you ever have an opportunity to attend this event, I highly recommend it. Do dress warmly, though, and read up on cold weather photography before you go. It was 13 below zero F (-25 C) when I photographed this!
