Mirrored Beauty
Sunset over Garrison Lake and the Pacific.
Garrison Lake is located in the coastal community of Port Orford, a small fishing village on the southern Oregon coast. The lake is separated by a narrow strip of dune, beyond which lies the Pacific Ocean. The rocks on the horizon (better viewed at full size) are sea stacks of the Orford Reef, which are approximately 5 miles out to sea.

Its not hard to like what I see here because sunsets and sunrises are my kind of ‘beautiful’ but what I like about this image in particular is the perfect reflection and the calm waters of the lake enhanced by captivating tones. Great portfolio by the way!!!

Thank you so muchly, Pamela! With as much wind as we have on the southern Oregon coast, it isn’t real common that the lake is like glass AND there is a nice sunset. I felt pretty lucky to see this sunset.
