TV is the Temple of Low Men

Sitting alone again
In front of the Temple of Low Men
Knowing it will not deliver me
Nothing on TV will set me free

Sitting watching the Temple of Low Men
Hypnotises me again and again
The news of the World to enlighten me
A distorted truth of what I must be

Sitting alone again and again
The Temple of Low Men

Wasting my days away again
Waiting and waiting for the day when
The Temple of Low men my muse
All of its’ enlightenment I can not refuse

I must believe it all
The Temple of Low Mens call
All my views now must be
The truth delivered from my TV

Sitting alone again and again
The Temple of Low Men

My life wasting away
A daily fix of opinions to obey
Transfixed before the Temple of Low Men
Trapped forever again and again

My views are not my own
I must have that for my home
The Temple of Low Men feeds me now
My life to live it shows me how

Sitting alone again and again
The Temple of Low Men

I no longer remember when
Life existed outside the Temple of Low Men
Did reality ever exist outside
The TV news and all it will hide

Sitting alone again alone again
All life lost on the Temple of Low Men
Break free from the evil spell
The TV is nothing but hypnosis and sell

Life wastes away again and again
In front of the Temple of Low Men.

Artist's Description

I have called the television, the Temple of Low Men, for years; not only because you are usually sitting down in a low chair.
