The Fish, The Loaves, And The Basket

The Fish, The Loaves, And The Basket

Who do I blame
For the Millions now dead
The Worlds’ own shame
A child left unfed

Millions soon to die
Obese through their choice
Never a question as to why
The starving have no voice

The World wastes away
Trillions spent to feed a war
The starving die everyday
The machines of man only abhor

A child a skeleton of pain
Wasted life amongst the dust
No votes or political gain
A child dies to anothers’ lust

Every year the politicians meet
More talk and a promise again
No relief for the starving they greet
While more money for war pestilence and pain

Who do I blame
When I sit here well fed
It is my own shame
That another child is dead

More and more money for war
Over lies and distortion of a word
All claim to live by the law
And the starving are left unheard

There is enough food for all
And to feed the World twice
But everyone is set to fall
To anothers gluttony and vice

All the forces rally to again kill
Violence justifying violence they say
The Sermon on the Mount was about will
And sharing what you have everyday

Food rots and wastes on the floor
A child starves in the arms of a mother
While the obese feed and want more
Without a care for another

Who do I blame
For the death of more than a child
Starvation fed by war the shame
The greed of the obese make me wild

Place your loaves and fish
In the basket for them all
Fill a childs’ empty dish
Before we are all left to fall

Money for a corporate war
Taking from the mouth of a babe
What is it going to be for
When not even a child it will save

The starving forgotten to die
Their land and life wasted to war
Famine and disease in their eye
While politicians seek glory and more

A politician dies and they mourn
A fat life while millions have starved
And the politicians steal from the new born
The greed of the obese have their lives halved

I am to blame
For voting yet again
Trusting those who continue to shame
And I sit fat one of them.
