Poor Poem For Fernando Pereira

It’s been ten years
Since they ended with a blast
The life of a man
Who critised them to the last
He lost his life
Whilst living a life of peace
And speaking out against
Those that think
Life can be protected
With the making of a bomb
His was a harmless protest
Fought with pictures and a song
They could not fight such weapons
And didn’t want them to go on
Influencing their children and neighbours
So they plotted to sink the fleet
They thought they could fight what has abhorred
And angered even the meek
Punished with a tropical holiday
How could life be so cheap
To the assassins in the pay
Of a nation of terrorist cheats
He will not be forgotten
Or his memory slip away
Martyred by the Earths’ rotten
Who will kill to earn their pay

Dedicated and writen for Fernando Pereira, the GreenPeace photographer, who was killed when the French Secret Service blew up the Rainbow Warrior .
Please make a donation to Green Peace, in his memory.

I don’t see the French as a Terrorist nation, but the sinking of the Rainbow Warrior was a terrorist act.
