Growing up, my mother always had a flair for taking a boring yard and turning it into a lush garden filled with colorful plants and flowers. So when I started on this acrylic painting, I wanted to create a lush garden filled with lavender, tulips, fields of grasses and blooming color. This painting took about a month. There was so much detail, texture, shade and contrast to bring this garden to life. Painted using Acrylics and colored pencil.
“I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known"
- from the song ‘In the Garden’
