Welcome. I am a self-taught photographer living in one of the most beautiful areas of the US, the Pacific Northwest (Washington). I learned photography by reading and studying the works of Ansel Adams, who I consider to be the “best of the best”.
At 61 (and feeling it) I am still an avid hiker, and I still climb some of the smaller mountains. Although I’d love to climb Mt. Rainier, I know it won’t happen. My avatar is me on top of 5500 ft Sauk Mountain with Mt.
Baker in the background. Directly behind me is a 500 ft drop. My friends say I live on the “edge”. Wonder why they would say that?
I’d like to thank you for taking a look at my images and I appreciate all comments. I hope you enjoy my images as much as I enjoy making them. If you have any questions about my images, please feel free to email me.
If you’re interested in more information about the places I “shoot” please visit my website at Northwest Scenescapes. I have several informative galleries about all the places I like to photograph.
