Blue Ridge Palette

The Blue Ridge Mountain range is one of the oldest mountain ranges in North America. This Autumn scene was photographed from Rough Ridge Trail on the Blue Ridge Parkway (Milepost 303.7) near Grandfather Mountain, North Carolina.

Fall Color is nothing more than a background, Without something for it to accent you reall have no mare than odd colored leaves.
You have overcome this desire in all of your Autumn photography. Here you’ve used the rock outcropping to make a great Fall Colored Collage.

THank you, Sandy. It was 28 degrees, windy, and snowing when I was there yesterday-less than a month after this photo was taken. Needless to say, most all of the leaves were gone.

Beautiful picture – and North Carolina is beautiful, too. I wonder why Europeans, e.g., still are not as familiar with this part of the USA as they are with others! :-)
