Can we help you?
Two retrievers attentively watching two fishermen on Lake of the Woods, Ontario. The dogs, particularly the little one, want to go in and retrieve the lures.
The little brown one went along on one fishing trip. As soon as the lure hit the water, she dove out of the boat and started swimming toward the it. Fortunately we were able to pull her back into the boat before she connected with the lure. No more fishing trips for that one!

LOL – this is awesome! What a great perspective the picture was taken from, and a great story! Ha! Thanks for sharing, and welcome to the Hunting and Fishing the Great Outdoors group! : )

Thanks, Ann. I was really afraid the little brown dog was going to dive in after these guys’ lures too!

Brilliant shot! I love the angles in this capture. The boat cutting across the dock and the way the dock is jutting out into the water. But I especially the point of view which seems to be the exact one for the doggies! Really a great candid!
Jane Best
Thanks Joanne! Glad you enjoyed this photo. I was scared to death the little brown dog was going to jump in after one of the treble hook lures. Ouch! SHe did it once.
Chris Snyder
Love this scene! I saw it in your dog calendar(which is great) and had to comment.
Jane Best
Glad you like this, Chris. I thought it was an interesting scene that told a story. Is never a dull moment with two retrievers!

They say never work with children and animals but if we all took that advice our lives would be dull and boring, a lovely story Jane and the image works beautifully with the dogs looking out towards the boat, without your explanation it might be interpreted differently,
Regards, Rod.
Jane Best replied
Thank you, Rod. Seems like WC Fields made a similar comment about dogs and children. I totally agree with your comment that is hardly ever a dull moment when they are around . Many candid photo “ops” as well.
emanon
good title. lovely shot.
Jane Best replied
Thank you, emanon. THis is one of my favorite dog shots. I was afraid the little brown one was going to go in after the lure!
