I am a North Carolina artist and photographer who enjoys being outdoors. Some favorite subjects are landscapes, houses, pets, nature, and activities. Two of my many favorite photo locations are North Carolina and Lake of the Woods, Ontario.
For many years,I have been doing commissioned architectural renderings of homes and buildings using my camera to provide reference material for the artwork..
More recently I been concentrating on photography itself as an art form and trying to apply basic principles of art such as composition and light/shadow effects when making photos.

Borrowing some lines from Robert Frost’s wonderful poem below, I think photography allows us to discover and explore some of those fascinating roads less travelled by and those which are grassier and in need of wear. This to me, is what the adventure of photography is all about.

THE ROAD NOT TAKEN

And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
