Who pays the Ferryman?

BEST VIEWED LARGE

Another image from the 2009 June Long Weekend Family annual get together. On the Saturday morning I arise well before everyone else. The plan was to check out a road that followed the Hawkesbury River, and another possible way out on Monday. Along the way I noted the morning fog and was looking for that little something else. Well I fund it and snapped away. This is the Lower Portland Ferry waiting for the first cars of the day. If you look carefully you can see the Ferryman waiting in his cabin..

So, Jason, did you pay the ferryman the 2 obols to cross the River Styx to the darkness of Hades on the far shore?
You have captured this beautifully… The bright, clear, safe and warm light here and the dark, vague, cold and menacing shadows – & shades? – over there…
    Thank you.

  • Jason Ruth replied

Thanks Jeff. Was rapt at what noiseware accomplished with a very noisy HDR image (as fog is want to do with a normal image).
