Superb and what a great technique

  • Thanks. I haven’t known this lady for very long, but I feel she has had a lot of hardship previously in her life. When the full image is viewed she is standing very proud with hands on hips and in her word saying “don’t mess with me or else” She is a very colourful vivacious happy lady and I wanted to show this. Regards Kerry

What an amazing portrait. I love that it is so free and soft and not stiff or contrived looking. I bet she’s going to love it.

  • She has moved to Perth, but saw it before she went. It was not finished, eg no background and only part of the figure done, but the face was finished and she did like it at that stage.

I really love your style Kerry. The tones you have used are superb:D)

  • Thanks Angela – lots of colour for a colourful lady. I undercoated the whole picture in yellow. That make it glow.
