Resting cormorant (phalacrocorax carbo) Trentham Gardens, Staffordshire, UK. by

Immature cormorant resting on the weir at Trentham gardens lake, Trentham, Staffordshire, UK. The treeline on the western edge of the lake can be clearly seen reflected in the birds eye. (the eye is my new avatar – partly because I’m in the reflection).
Photographed September, 2007.

Gorgeous capture Steve. Almost human-like, the way it has it’s head tucked down!

  • many thanks Lisa – I took quite a number of shots of this character and this is my favourite by quite a way.
