Archway at Trentham gardens, Staffordshire, UK. Summer 2000. by

Archway at Trentham gardens, taken in summer 2000, prior to major restoration of the gardens. The image was taken on a bright sunny day but where I was shooting from was surprisingly dark due to the old Yew trees which formed a dense canopy overhead.
Shot on Fuji neopan 1600 for a grainy, dreamy feel.
Canon FTb, 28mm lens.

What an amazing photo. Sublime tones throughout the image, really nice contrasts between the bridge and the path. Well done. Keep uploading amazing shots like this.

  • many, many thanks for that Jack.

Beautiful. Not an ‘obvious wide angle effect’ but I love it :)

  • yes, I was thinking that when I submitted it – despite it being the full 35mm frame with a 28mm lens it isn’t obvious.
    many thanks for your comment.
