'Schooling FlameFish {Itai Doshin}'

many bodies, one Mind…
“Itai Doshin”...Japanese Buddhist term for “many in body; one in mind” (thanks to ellcot for that insight!)

heheheh…in the words of the dolphins…

So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish…
(from “A Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Universe”

So long and thanks for all the fish
So sad that it should come to this
We tried to warn you all but oh dear?

You may not share our intellect
Which might explain your disrespect
For all the natural wonders that
grow around you

So long, so long and thanks
for all the fish

The world’s about to be destroyed
There’s no point getting all annoyed
Lie back and let the planet dissolve

Despite those nets of tuna fleets
We thought that most of you were sweet
Especially tiny tots and your
pregnant women

So long, so long, so long, so long, so long
So long, so long, so long, so long, so long

So long, so long and thanks
for all the fish

(yeah)

So long and thanks for all the fish
So sad that it should come to this
We tried to warn you all but oh dear?

(oh dear)

Despite those nets of tuna fleets
We thought that most of you were sweet
Especially tiny tots and your
pregnant women

So long, so long, so long, so long, so long
So long, so long, so long, so long, so long

So long, so long and thanks
for all the fish

  • Scott Bricker replied

hiya! this is a image generated with a fractal program called ‘Apophysis’...fractals are made from mathematical equations…this is actually a spiral; if you look closely, you can see the center of the spiral at the center top of the image…
    thanks, glad ya like!

This is wonderful Scott; I love Douglas Adams’ books, and this really captures the disaster that we are. Just one of bllions, and together a plague, unlike your beautiful flame fish.

  • Scott Bricker replied

so glad you like it Bev! not familiar with his other works, but I have always loved the Hitch Hiker’s Guide in its’ various forms…saw the movie version of it yesterday, thought I would put this through again in a few more groups…I wonder sometimes how many folks even view the vids…thanks again! cheers!

  • Scott Bricker replied

thanks so much, I’m glad you like it! Think I may subtitle it ‘Esho Funi’, with explanation and credit to you… exactly the intent of this…thanks!

  • ellcot

    ellcot

Just realized my stupid mistake with the Japanese terminology – I should think before I write!!!!!! Many humble apologies – the correct term is “Itai Doshin”. (Esho Funi means “oneness of life and its environment – similar but not the same.)

  • Scott Bricker replied

thanks very much ! No problem at all, thanks for the correction, I appreciate that!
