    Christian,
Your image here reminds me of the work done in USA by Dorothea Lange….

If you get a few hours to see some of her work online, check these following websites out..

    http://www.museumca.org/slideshow/dlange/index.html

This second website is actually a collection of her 20820 images that you can view online and in high resolution. It is remarkable work…

The insightful and compassionate photographs of Dorothea Lange (1895 – 1965) have exerted a profound influence on the development of modern documentary photography. Lange’s concern for people, her appreciation of the ordinary, and the striking empathy she showed for her subjects make her unique among photographers of her day.

  • Leslie Wood

Incredible and powerful image! Look at the desperation in her face and her son seems to be trying to put on a brave front. These kind of shots are hard to shoot, I’m sure, and sometimes hard to look at but much needed at the same time.

  • Christian Zammit replied

yes…not easy to snap photos like this!!!
but i wanted the world to see what i saw…
    ..a poor woman.
