At The Edge
I drew this image when I was working as a freelance artist for a local street magazine back in 2000. These were my pre-computer days, now I look at some of my art and wonder how much time I could/ would have saved by using a computer.
Back then I was loosely sketching the figure, I would then use a light box to tighten my pencil line work, apply the new piece again on the light box so I could work out the angular affect. At this stage I would ink it without any pencil work. It was so time consuming …
To think, I probably could have just clicked on a photoshop filter like cutout. But that would be cheating … lol!
