This formation’s resemblance to a staircase has given the comedians in our group even more to joke about, and on an inexplicable whim, I have decided to climb it to get a closer look at the castle-like monolith. Giggling all the way to the top, I’m surprised that the floral scent is even stronger on the breeze up here, a hint of rose, and I am relieved to escape the steep walls enclosing the terrain down below.

This Planet Aurora series is artwork created in Vue Esprit, with elevation maps derived from this cool image created by Jenland, Time To Breathe:

I am sensing a dark subtext here.

  • As well you should, away-teams don’t deviate from their training…

Beware sweet smelling things eh?! ha ha ha I’m enjoying this POV, sort peering up out of the thick undergrowth, can almost smell the loamy scent of moist earth and abundant plant life.

  • They should have noticed the absence of insects, even the little scurrying forest critters, and a proper away-team doesn’t joke around, eh? Too late…

Another great fractal landscape. . .

  • Thank you Hugh, I make these pretty large now so I can travel around and shoot the best shots.

    Great painting!

  • Thank you Vivist, it’s actually a 3D environment built in Vue Esprit; all seven of THESE images are different views of it.

What a beautiful and awesome job you did here Syd! I like all that vegetation and the sky is great!

  • Thank you Gwenolye, that strange yellow light in a blue sky really lent themselves to the environment, which was supposed to be kind of spooky, especially after the idea for a description turned into an episode, click HERE
