There used to be a photoshop plug-in called Kai’s Power Tools, where you could design these 3D Orbs, then splatter them randomly on the page like grapes! That’s what this started out as, and I worked on it a little each day for weeks!

This is awesome!! I love it!!
syd baker replied
Thanks grin, grin, almost as scarey as the aliens that resembled pasta so much that we ate them. And they were delicious…

:) Making me laugh Syd. I should say smile. If that isn’t retro nothing is.

I recall at the time, DaVinci painted on his Mona Lisa a bit at a time for years, and I worked on this off and on for weeks, playing with the old Kai’s Power Tools in photoshop 5 or 6! It’s not Mona, but it’s got purple globular lettering, 50’s style!

way over the top (grin)
btw amazon is selling a copy of Kai’s Power Tools … was checking out old s/w there and saw it .. forgot how much it cost … don’t have even an older copy of PS so wouldn’t have done me any good …
syd baker replied
I’ve been upgrading my photoshop for years, so I have to keep the old ones, still have that old Kai’s working with psh 5, the Kai’s texture explorer is totally entrancing!
owlspook
oooo texture … my favorite texture right now in Gimp is called “clothify” I used it mostly in my “shawl” pieces … but have found it extremely useful when blowing up a very small image to one that is useful .. handy dandy … smooths away the pixelation …
syd baker replied
I know a useful Photoshop trick for enlarging, if Psh is what you use?
owlspook
no PS here … way too overboard on cost for my budget .. will have to stick with the tricks I know .. (smile)

I’m a little embarrassed, this was a page where a lot of things kind of splattered, never really showed it!

This is my Mona Lisa, kept adding stuff a bit here and there, kind of fascinated with how vitamin-enriched it was getting, goes back like 14 years! Same martians thats on my shirts.

syd baker replied
Aw, shucks, little lady, just showing off!
syd baker replied
Doesn’t show in the gallery, but the clocks are there because of a 2 part tutorial that’s posted in my Journal, about making clocks from your artwork, and where to get the parts. Since you’re so multi media, thought I’d bring it up.
linaji
