Light Benders Featured Artist Award & HeadHunting

For those unfamiliar with American slang; in this case; “Head Hunting” refers to the recruitment of a particular type of person.

Please read the following carefully:

From Light Benders Home Page @ http://www.redbubble.com/groups/light-benders-d...

“The Light Benders Group is a showcase for the best of digitally created reflective and refractive art.
A group dedicated to the sharing of tips and techniques to raise the standard of each and every member.”

When Hugh & I founded Light Benders, we wanted a unique, stand out group.

We have, thanks to our members, accomplished that within the very first 6 months.

We resolved to invite artists who:
Firstly: By their works, displayed an artistic interest in doing digitally created reflective and refractive art.
Secondly: They had in their Author’s Notes or description shown an inclination towards the Mission Statement of Light Benders:
A group dedicated to the sharing of tips and techniques to raise the standard of each and every member.

In the early days, I recounted to Hugh, how as an Assistant Administrator on a privately owned art site; operating on a Positive Reinforcement for Artistic Excellence basis, we had a “Artist Spotlight” award.

It was a quarterly award – 4 times a year.
Based on the following:

1. – Candidates had to have been Featured at least once in that 3 month period;
2. – Demonstrate artistic growth using their initial submissions as the baseline; and most importantly,
3. – the sharing of tips and techniques to raise the standard of each and every member.

This is why as a Host, I get ticked off with members who are too lazy to read my Welcome To Light Benders Notes in Group Messages.
Quite a few of you disqualified yourselves from our 1st Light Benders Featured Artist Award.

Hugh & I have come up with a custom graphic award. This can be displayed on your profile page.
A full sized copy, if desired, will also be emailed to you, to include in your Artist’s Resume’.

We will be announcing the unsuspecting awardee no later than next Monday, January 10, 2011

Interested Artists may send Hugh or myself a bubble mail if interested. Be sure to include your user name.

Happy New Year &

Shalom , (Peace in Hebrew)
