Black Polly (first version) - A Minor Collection of Unnatural History by

A Minor Collection of Unnatural History was a collection of 30 previously undiscovered monsters by Sayraphim Lothian and Benj Dawe.

The Black Polly is a monster that can be called up through a children’s rhyme.

This Black Polly was the first version I created, however there was a discussion and I went back to the drawing board. I always loved this version, however it didn’t quite get across the emotion that we were looking for in this particular monster, it was a little too cute. the version that made it into the exhibition can be found at http://www.redbubble.com/people/sayraphim/art/1...

This image is a composite of straight photos created in Photoshop.

Images of the exhibition itself can be found at www.omnificassembly.com

Love the title, and the image….this is quite suberb, and yet still menacing. I really, really enjoy looking at this!

thank you so much! I was heartbroken when we decided it didn’t fit the exhibition because I was so fond of it, but I’m glad I found a place to show it!
