I was immediately drawn to this by the name … Fortuna … it is where I work (in Bendigo). Today, I embarked on the hunt for “Fortuna” … I was told there was a bust on the property of the Roman Goddess (which I haven’t seen).
There is a campaign under way at the moment to save Fortuna from private development (the Government intends to sell it to the highest bidder in the near future).
BTW – great image – I love the look of anticipation in the model’s face as she gazes into the future.
That’s a fascinating fact. I’m pretty familiar with Bendigo, remind me what Fortuna is there? Fortuna is also the goddess of fortune, which sprung to mind when I saw this shot.
