On Dec 3 2012 The nation of Palau was hit by Super Typhoon Bopha. The storm diverted at just the last moment and much of Palau was spared from the 155mph winds. But the tidal surge was massive and there was much damage in several coastal villages including my favorite, Melekeok. Jelly Fish Lake has been closed until further notice due to storm damage. I took this shot in July 2012 with a Nikon D5100 and an 18-55 lens. I reworked it a bit in Windows Live Photo Gallery

I have had a camera in my hand since the late sixties! Recently someone looked at a photo display I had in a coffee shop and got goose bumps. All I try to do is to capture various aspects of God’s amazing creation and let you also enjoy what I am seeing! If you get goose bumps, that’s great. But remember I only capture what he created. He creates, I capture, we enjoy.

Nice capture Randy
Wow… Wonderful image and post work. I captured some of these in Newfounfland…but mine are in turquoise waters. Love this…amazing how beautiful nature is!
Oh dear… I meant Newfoundland!!
That’s because it is so cold in Newfoundland that your fingers can’t type so well!

Mary
Thanks Mary, I think I got it right this time! Palau was both spared and is a mess. One of the schools where my wife trained teachers is destroyed and a few other schools are badly damaged. Struck down, as Paul says, but not destroyed.

really really good!!!
Thanks Michal, Toob bad Palau was so damaged by the typhoon last weekend. The lake where you can swil with thousands of jelly fish is closed until further notice.
