We were having a nice sunset under the Japan-Palau Peace Bridge when all of the sudden we were hit with a tropical downpour! Japan built this bridge for Palau after the original bridge had a major structural failure and suddenly collapsed into the ocean, killing four people. It’s a beautiful bridge that joins Palau’s two most populated islands, Koror and Babeldaob. Taken with a Nikon D5100 and a 18-55 in July 2012. When the tide is really coming in or going out you can not swim between the islands as the tide will pull you out to sea.
