This is a Pandora Sphynx Moth
A gorgeous moth even in caterpillar form.
As you can see here…it doesn’t have the tell-tail..er…tail? A horn that is often prominent in Sphynx moth larva….that is because it’s in it’s last instar…….which means it’s about to go to it’s next stage before becoming a moth.
My son found this gorgeous fat creature eating from Virginia Creeper…a pest plant that it is more then welcome to munch on.
