Porceline Candy by Carla Wick/Jandelle Petters
Clear

An introduced species to the US…it was originally brought over as an ornamental vine that quickly spread.
The berries are toxic yet beautiful…ranging in almost every color on the spectrum…but mainly blues and purples.
Fresh berries have a white fluid inside when squeezed…and as they age they turn white…hence the name Porceline.

I’ve never seen anything like it. Amazing!

  • i’d probably walked by this plant a million times Adam…without ever noticing the berries? then last summer I started paying more attention to things UNDER leaves and found these hidden wonders

I was about to say that they look like Skittles before I even read your comment! Such a shame they have to look this good and be deadly.

  • agreed! imagine though? if they WERE safely edible….kids would be fat on these lol
I posted an image awhile back called Skittlicious….last summer image of these. I just keep hearing ‘taste the rainbow’ in my head when I find thtese
