Love finding those giant white’gilled mushrooms.
This one is the underside of a Rooting Collybia (it goes by other names….) that was found in a neighbor’s yard. It was almost the size of a dinner plate.
This is an edible mushroom, with caution. ALL mushrooms are edible…not all will you survive after eating. THIS one…I will survive…it’s very yummy and pretty easy to identify once I know what I’m looking for.
A secret here…….The gills were straight? I ‘bunched’ the cap up in my hand to get the rippled look. EVERYONE has seen straight gills…..gets kinda boring after awhile so I decided to try something different.
ENJOY!
