This handsome fellow looked to me like a cross of a lynx and a domestic cat. Something about that face of his.
Tory was brought in to my local non-kill Humane Society animal shelter a few years ago…it took almost a year before I finally came across him and got his photo.
He was a quiet cat, rarely expressing any sort of meow, yowl, howl or even purr. I never knew how he really felt about me or me taking his photos…..but he DID get adopted by an older lady who swears he’s the most loving creature she’s ever had! She named him Bobby…(he looks like a Toby to me)….
People…if you don’t want animals in shelters and on the streets…SPAY and NUTER them! Millions of dollars each year go to euthenizing, medically helping and housing/feeding strays and unwanteds. Imagine where that money could go if we did our duty by the ones we love?

Ours too, we have a little rescue cat, we found in a rubbish Bin, her sibblings were all Dead, the vet told us she wouldn’t last the night, but with TLC we fed her for weeks through an eye dropper, & now shes a real part of our family, (Well the two Boys have gone) so she fills our two lifes.

    Folk are so Callous.

  • My son gets jealous now because Sir Flash (our current kitty) loves to sleep with me at night….however? He doesn’t realize that he sneaks to HIS room while he’s asleep. lol
All my kitties have been rescues. A couple were due to be euthenized with-in hours of me adopting them.
I’ve one save mine and my baby’s lives…another woke me from seizures…….irreplaceable love.

Bobby is a handsome little guy. Reminds me of the cat I had as a kid. His name was Samson. Looked very much like this one, but the stripes continued to his feet. I like the stark white feet of Bobby or Toby, if you like. Nice shot.

  • there’s something about white socks on a kitty that draws my eye as well, Adam. :o)
My 2 kitties I had growing up were ‘tuxedo’ kitties…black with spots of white.

He is gorgeous!! My orange tabby was the only survivor of his litter…the rest were drowned in the river…Frank actually made his was out! I found him crying his poor little lungs out , coverd in mud half in half out of the water!! He was only 4 weeks old!! People are insanely cruel sometimes!! He’s the BEST cat I’ve EVER had!! My calico cat is the product of another idiot dumping some cats by the roadside of a farm…she’s was a kitten from a litter that those cats had in my friends barn. All my cays have been saved cats…once I got them home, they were all spayed or neutred. There is no need for the suffering we humans inflict on animals!! I agree with you Carla, we have the resposiblity to care for our fellow creatures!

  • My Sir Flash has probably had the ‘easiest’ of all my kitties. He was at the shelter that Bobby was at for several years before we met.
I’ve had one I pulled out of a car engine…another was on a cliff in the middle of NO Where…..2 that were due to be euthenized….2 that had been left abandoned in an apartment for several weeks with no food and the only water was what was left in a toilet…….
    Humans stink.
To drown animals, shoot them, abandon them…….it just means no heart.

Nice looking cat. I don’t think he’d like the one year quarantine into Australia and our 16 year old male wouldn’t like him at all. Apart from that he looks great.

  • oh jeeze Steve…gotta set up barriers even though you REALLLLY want to adopt another kitty! lol I honestly don’t think MY kitty would allow me at this point to adopt another….he’s very territorial :o)
