I’m right in the NE corner of Kansas…....almost dead center of the US…..my woods are mixed also? with Oak being the primary trees…Elm, Cottonwood, PawPaw, Redbud, and Sycamore picking up much of the rest of the open spaces.
if u’r ever looking for a good book to see mushies in? Field Guide to Mushrooms by the National Audubon Society can be found cheap and is a great beginning reference book (I saw on Amazon.com for less the $1!).....

thank you! the top of these mushrooms is a rich orange color…so really helps with the colors underneath when the light shines thru. they’re spectacular to look at
