The Moon Beam's Dance by Sandra March
Through the dark space
the moon light comes to the spinning earth
and scatter into a trilion moonbeams
upon the dark waters
Far out at sea
a clever little beam thought
tonight I will reach the shore
determnined it danced
on the back of a whale
dancing ever closer
it rolls over onto a shark
for an instant it hitched a ride
on the wings of a butterfly
then fell back to shallow water
finally it rode the last wave to shore
this is land, and it laughed out loud
the journey took all night
and as the sun rose higher into the sky
it thought
tonight I will try again
