Bye to Heaven, Hi to Hell

Brilliant branches brim with beauty boundless by the bridge
Damply doused in daily dew that dotes upon her lid

The sparrows singing seamless songs set down as though to say
Shame this shrub’s so shy that we should use him just for shade

The thistly thicket thorns throughout the thriving rabbit threads
The plotting of a predator with prey his only pledge

The coming of a carpenter cries chaos on the scene
Feasibly forcing the forest in course of a fate even frowned on by fiends

So as metal moans move forth to mow these members of the mist
To taint the untouched tapestry, to tear, uproot and twist

Fear not does the flora nor the fauna of its fate
The liveliness of living has been leaving as of late.

Bye to Heaven, Hi to Hell
