the eyes are certainly as you say sasufi, precious instruments.
this design also hits me in the soul. my brother has been going blind since his teenage years, now 27. there is no cure (other than a cornea transplant which in my bros case on one eye has not been entirely accepted by his immune system 5yrs ago). my younger sis is an incredible medical scientist working all over the world. reassuringly she always says that medical advances/cures do occur just take time.
on another note, in keeping with the brief -yep i agree with all who’ve commented. your design is unique. well done.
btw, he refuses to have a transplant on the other eye which continues to rapidly degenerate. im a happy to say he has an awareness that transcends ‘seeing’...but again yeah, very cool design:) i’d wear it.
