I was disappointed to see that the the winning place image for the latest Rural NSW avatar challenge does not appear to meet with the guidelines of the group or the challenge. TECHNICAL ADVICE, GOING TO UPGRADE TO DSLR

Hi all,

I was hoping that I could trouble you for your thoughts on DSLR and lenses. I dont have a huge budget, but I was looking at the Canon EOS1000 with 18-55mm and 55-250 Image Stablising lenses, but also with a Sigma 150-500mm telephoto with Image stabilising. For those of you that dont know, I managed the Biodiversity Assessment for the Silverton Wind farm near Broken Hill in Western NSW. After two years since our first surveys began, the NSW Government approved Stage 1 of the project today.
