Tartan Tongue Orchid
I found these flowering orchids while enjoying a morning stroll in the Lilli Pilli Common, just south of Batemans Bay on the NSW Far South Coast in January 2008. The Tartan Tongue Orchid Cryptostylis erecta usually grows in dry sclerophyll forests and heath often on sandy soil and usually within a few kilometres of the coastline.

Tartan Tongue Orchid belongs to the following groups:
Australian Bush and Rainforest Photography, Australian Landmarks and Icons, Australian Native Plants, Happy Haven, Macro Untouched, Rural NSW and Sapphire & Nature Coasts, NSWAvailable for sale as Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

Yes, it was, I actually found a small group of about 6 plants all within a couple of metres. They are very cryptic and hard to see thats for sure. Thanks for your comment.
