    Thanks very much Noelene. Yes, you dont see too many of these. Actually, I have spotted one that is hanging around at a spot about 50kms away, but he is very elusive and I havent been able to get a shot yet (before a falcon picks him up!).

    Wow! Never heard of or seen such a kookaburra. I wish he were one of the group that swim daily in my swimming pool. I’m still trying to get the right shot of their butterfly stroke. ....so amazing to see them swimming and then being so waterlogged that they can’t lift off he ground to fly away.
