I found this Sturts Desert Pea while chasing a Painted Dragon on the edge of the Silver City Highway, near Broken Hill, in far western NSW, AU.

Wow my favourite flower. I drove between Broken Hill and Scotia but that was at the end of December so they were probably not flowering then, otherwise I would have stopped for sure. Great shot. Oh should I tell you I got to hold two juvenile painted dragons. Very cute

Ok..shall do. I also saw a Mallee Dragon too. Pretty cute. I have lots of pics but mostly with people’s hands holding them as we got them out of traps. I prefer the natural looking shot. Anyway it was good to see them nonetheless
