We Share the Same Heart by Saren Dobkins

Canvas Prints

Small (12.0" x 7.9")

This piece explores the split that exists between black and white cultures yet how underneath everything we are human and share the same heart. Uluru, often referred to as the Red Heart is also spiritually significant to the indigenous peoples of this country. I am also adressing the underlying nature of this country, the earth rich and brown from thousands of years of layered meanings. The second wave which hovers above is representative of the lighter skinned people that live here too, their fabric less substantial and easily torn. The outline of the human form joins us all as one people.

Saren Dobkins has been painting and drawing since 1986.
Originally from Zambia, C.Africa she currently resides in Australia. My work is bold, passionate and based on personal experiences that are translated to express a state of mind, a feeling and a moment in time.
